We have studied in the last part of this thesis the case when the solution of ordinary differential equation (ODE) or partial differential equation (PDE) diverges at a finite time. Such a phenomenon is said to be blow-up phenomenon. If blow-up does occur in a finite time, one may further ask: What is the set of the blow-up points? What is the blow-up rate of the solution when time approaches the blow-up time? These problems, which are also important from the point of view of applications. |
