d-Hoc usually relates to an explanation of planning to address a particular issue or function, which although not generic, but also is inappropriate for the achievement of the other objec-tives. The Vehicular Ad-hoc networks (VANET) is special type of Ad-hoc, which have been particularly designed for establishing communications in environments where they are extremely complicated and specialized by high mobility. The astounding reality is that the number of devices which are able communicate wirelessly is increasing on a daily basis. The VANET networks are beneficial for implementation in considerable sets of scenarios, for in-stance, in cities, highways, and in urban roads, where the ability to allocate resources and services is one of the primary attentions. And for all of that it needs to stack of protocols to conduct routing process within vehicles and Road Side Units (RSUs), among used protocols in this type of network is the Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV). In this context, we will be dis-cussed in this thesis detailed clarifications from research perspective of the VANET networks and the AODV routing protocol. Afterwards, it also concen-trates primarily on the implementation of AODV IPv6 and survey its impact on VANET, besides achieving multiple scenarios and compares it with IPv4 addressing.
